People often ask Bob and I why we support The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.

We started about 10 years ago when Denny Parisan approached us about sponsors for his upcoming Race 4 the House. We listened to all the people they helped and realized that it could have been US. In 1975 we lost our infant daughter, Beth Ann, due to a severe heart defect. That pain always stays with you. We remembered the physicians, I think in hopes of easing our grief at the time, telling us that had she survived we she would have been in and out of hospitals and had many complications. So the thought of helping families going through desperate medical issues with their children just seemed like a perfect way to honor our own child. Now, today, I cannot imagine not being part of this great cause. Between the Race 4 the House, the annual toy drive, our awesome luck in receiving The Safeco Make More Happen Award…3 times!! I just feel we have given back to a wonderful organization. I encourage anyone to get involved in any way they can.
